VOLUNTEERS
We couldn't do it without you!
The Kiama Show and our other events are only possible through the help of a huge group of wonderful volunteers. Some are committee or sub-committee members, others are Pavilion Stewards, some help with our events, some are Judges and others help wherever and whenever we need them.
There's plenty of volunteer roles for community members of all ages. So, if you'd like to get involved and help us put on our Show, get in touch today.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS
These are the dedicated volunteers who spend all year meeting, planning, negotiating and ensuring that each year our Show is spectacular. They're a dedicated bunch with many of them having served on the committee for 20 years or more. Their skills range from farming to event management, accounting, journalism and everything in between. New members are always welcome so if you have skills you think we could use, let us know.
SUB COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Some of our volunteers are interested in specific areas of the Show and our other events. These people often serve on one of our sub-committees. Our current sub-committees are Cattle, Horse, Pavilion, Woodchop, Sponsorship, Entertainment/Events, Showball, and Showgirls
STEWARDS
These are the people who seem to magically appear each year when we're setting up the show, do their job and then disappear again until next year. Stewards do everything from working at the entry gates, to setting up the Pavilion, and a thousand other jobs before, during and after the show. If you'd like to get involved in the show this is one of the best ways to do it. There's jobs for any age and fitness level so please, fill in our Volunteer form if you want to get involved.
GATE VOLUNTEERS
There are 4 gates at the Show and we're open from 9am to 10.30pm both days. That's a love of volunteer hours to cover. The wonderful members of the Kiama Lions Club have been helping us out with our gates for years. If you would like get involved fill out our Volunteer form and let us know.
